I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone

The not-so English sunny weather we've been graced with recently provides the perfect excuse to get snap happy. The boyfriend and I prefer a stroll to are local fields and footpaths, normally armed with a picnic and SPF as we're such pale children.

The other week I was browsing the rails of Zara, as I do many a time on the hunt for a new gem to add to my already busty wardrobe, when I spotted this navy blue playsuit. I knew I had to have it, and even better it was in the sale at £17.99!

I love the silky fabric, the print, and the fact that I do feel as if I'm wearing PJ's to work - what could be better? I received lot's of lovely compliments whilst wearing this and I know my friends are also on the hunt to pick one up, so hurry!

What do you think is it too granddad's pj's or playsuit perfection?

Shift Style Faux Leather Peter Pan Collar Dress - Lily Lulu*

You know when you see that dress online or in a store and you just have to have it? That's what happened when I spotted this sixties inspired number by Lily Lulu Boutique. Bang on the monochrome trend, I opted for the dress in white instead of the black which would have been inside my comfort zone. I felt transported back to the times of Twiggy and Edie Sedgwick and I think come summer, mix this dress with a sultry smokey eye and you've got a winner.
I'm always a worrier when it comes to white clothing as we've all had our too sheer moments where it can be a little too see through but this dress is made of thick polyester and the loose fit makes for very comfortable wearing, and lot's of swishing about...

Have you had a look at the Lily Lulu Boutique range? You can them on Asos Marketplace, so what are you waiting for?!

p.s. please excuse my squinty eyes and knobbly knees...

velvet dreams

velvet playsuit - Lavish Alice*
 leather jacket - miss selfridges
millicent studded boots - topshop
nails - deborah lippman*
These outfit pic's were snapped pre-christmas whilst sauntering around Picadilly waiting to watch Viva Forever with the babe that is Jemma. We adopted a empty doorway for our backdrop and posed anxiously whilst tourists pointed and stared - oh well, all for you guys!
I received this gorgeous navy playsuit from Lavish Alice- you might have noticed I've had a bit of a velvet crush as of late and this snazzy little number fit the bill perfectly. I love the long sleeves and floatiness of this playsuit as it makes it super comfortable and more wearable during these colder months. I just had a peek on the Lavish Alice site and it is also now on sale knocking £10 its former £38 price tag so go, go, go!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas? I had such a lovely day that was only slightly spoilt by a hangover that left me cuddling the toilet in the earlier hours of Christmas morning but don't worry it didn't put me off stuffing my face and waking at the crack of dawn yelling "ITS CHRISTMASSSSSSSS". With selection box upon selection box at my fingertips, cheesy soap Christmas drama, and family and friends, I really couldn't have asked for much more! How did you spend your Christmas day and was anyone else slightly let down by Derek Branning's death on Eastenders? I wanted a punch up or something!

and the bells were ringing out

Sarah Wine Peter Pan Collar Dress - Oh My Love*
Clutch - Next*
I think is possibly the most fitting dress for the festive season, a gorgeous deep burgundy velvet with lace collar and sleeve embellishments. On the two occasions I've worn this since receiving it I have always received comments such as "you look like you're an elf!" and I suppose it does have that feel to it around this time of year. It's extremely flattering and I feel mega Christmassy and feminine floating around in it! Oh My Love has SO many gorgeous pieces just like this dress and I've added one or two items to my Christmas wishlist...

You might have noticed I've been a little bit absent on here recently but that's due to the final rush to get deadlines met during the last couple weeks of university which I can happily tell you is done and dusted for this year! Cannot believe I've complete my last ever autumn term at University and am back home wrapping presents and thinking of the perfect party dress for New Year, where has this year gone?!

I'm back home for a month now and although I have my dissertation to be getting on with I will be blogging again a lot more. I'm really in the spirit this year and even dabbled a little in gingerbread baking the other day using festive dough cutters and everything - get me!

What have you been doing to get into the spirit?

I'm living on such sweet nothing

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Dress - Pop Couture*
Millicent Stud Boots - topshop
bracelets - topshop
earrings - pop couture*
nails - models own Southern Lights & Blizzard
If you saw my post on the Pop Couture Event that I attended last week you will already know that they were generous enough to let us choose an item of our own to review. I chose this plush velvet, burgundy dress, and I absolutely love it, don't you?
Yes, so posing in it whilst we're experiencing minus degree weather, and in front of a very amused crowd just off Oxford Street, was more than just a little bit chilly especially with the waistline cut outs, but I had to show off the beautiful detailing. What I didn't manage to catch on camera is the black lace back with golden flecks which, together with the gold studded collar chain, help to complete this dress as a go to night out number. For £22 I think its a complete and utter bargain and I can't thank Pop Couture enough

I was hurrying around the glittering streets of London again last for Louise Thompson (from Made in Chelsea, for any reality tv junkies like myself) for Goddiva Fashion Launch but more on that in an upcoming post! It's beyond amazing witnessing my city in all its festive glory. Oxford Street was, as always at this time of year, brimming with tourists, shoppers, and locals all taking in the Christmassy atmosphere and I well and truly caught the festive bug - squeee! I even popped up my Christmas tree this evening, earliest its ever been up and all I have to say is bah humbug to it being bad luck, I like being keen, okay.

Are you getting into the Christmas Spirit this year? *plays Mariah Carey's 'All I want for Christmas' on repeat..*

drops of jupiter in her hair

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket pc1
turtle neck tank crop top - pop couture*
skater skirt - topshopboots - topshop
spike drop earrings - pop couture*
nails - topshop eclipse
This outfit somehow reminded me off sexy office chic which I have never ever pulled off and yes, I know, it's very grey, but I really like it. I absolutely adore the burgundy boots and they are mega comfortable, seriously walking in heels is a mean feat for me, I'm usually useless and am that girl you see carrying her heels home at the end of the night. Classy bird.

I want to take a moment to introduce to Pop Couture, I have got a post about them coming up shortly from their event I attended last night which was SO lovely - I met so many really lovely bloggers there and we all got chatting away so if you're reading this HEYYY! Pop Couture is home to some really gorgeous pieces and I've been browsing their site most of this afternoon after an early morning lecture, not only that but the price tag is a very warm welcome for us students. The earrings I'm wearing above are a very cheap and cheerful £3, bargain!

I've gone back to a more nude lip again recently after braving bolder lips for quite some time now I think it's time to strip back a little. What do you think?

We're not in Kansas anymore

Jacket - Miss Selfridges
Bobble Hat - topshop Mittens - primark
Dress - topshop Millicent Studded Boots - topshopj ewellery - delilah dust*
nails - ted baker*
Not the most glamorous and beautiful backdrop for a photo shoot but I quite like it against my how dolled up I am. Jemma took these snaps of me before we headed to the Motel Rocks Xmas Party in East London for a night of cocktails, pampering, and photo booth fun (wait, for my next post to see more!). I had a wonderful time and met so many lovely bloggers as well as singing a long to a collection of tunes - Lauren I'm looking at you!

The aztec print of this dress is what sealed the deal when handing over my card, it has a real wintery feel to it and I thought it was perfect for a Christmas party as well as a daytime dress. I am the biggest pansy when it comes to braving the cold so you might be able to tell in the shots of me without my trusty leather I am f-r-eeee-zingggg! I was forcing my poser face and literally hopped, skipped, and jumped back over to my mittens and hat as soon as I could.

After having such a good night it's always hard to come back down to reality and go back to typing up mundane essay's and religiously annotating text books but university calls so I best leave it here - who else is wishing it was the Christmas holidays already?
If you like the jewellery items be sure to check out Delilah Dust - there are plenty of gorgeous handmade items and you can use my discount code 'little red' for any purchase you make :)

Float down like Autumn Leaves

Dress - topshop Knitted jumper - primark
Jacket - Miss Selfridges
Bobble Hat - topshop necklace & bracelet - delilah dust*
studded millicent boots - topshop
Another week done and dusted and the day light hours are becoming increasingly less but I actually quite like the gloomy weather we've been having as it always makes me feel cosy when I'm wrapped up at home. However, snuggling up in my duvet is not on the agenda for me this weekend as I have a quite a busy time of it with my friend's 21st Fancy Dress Party tomorrow evening where I'm transforming, hopefully, into an elegant 1920's flapper. I'm more excited to see Jon's costume though as he's going all out as Thor from The Avengers donning a long blonde wig and everything!

I have mentioned Delilah Dust to you all before I am sure but I cannot reiterate enough how much I love Antonia's handmade pieces and for such a purse friendly price tag too which you can also reduce further still if you use my discount code 'little red'. I can't wait for my order to come through and the one off gem stone necklaces are my favourites.

What are you up to this weekend? Do you like my bobble hat, it caught quite a bit of attention from the old ladies sat outside Greggs!

I drink to remember, I smoke to forget

Jumper - Nordic Poetry*
Leggings (disco pants) - American Apparel
Millicent Studded Boots - Topshop
jewellery - Topshop
What a beaut of a day I have had! Initially the thought of being up, fully dressed and primped, and out the door and in London Town all by 9am left a feeling of dread as I am most certainly NOT a morning person. However, I headed over to Covent Garden this morning to meet Jemma - seriously, this girl has not only the most amazing eyes, but the most amazing sense of humour too - as we started our day as 'ladies of leisure' firstly heading to the bloggers breakfast hosted by Pegasus PR. Huge thanks to the girls at Pegasus and the PR's behind immersing us in the world of Avene and Klorane skin and hair goodness - the continental breakfast was just what we needed to kick start our day and was absoultely de-li-ciousssss!
After sauntering around the back streets of London, and gabbing away, like we'd known each other for much longer than that of an hour, we then set off (relyling, naturally, on the god send that is Google Maps!) to Task PR where we was pampered to our hearts content via their nail bar - see above my newly manicured digits, I forget the product name but it's from OPI - and treated to dishes of crab cakes and chocolate mousse! Seriously, I tell you I wish this was my everyday routine, a girl can get used to it veryyyy easily.

Post - pampering, and in high spirits, Jemma suggested we take our outfit of the day snaps in the hustle and bustle that is Oxford Circus, I was a little shy and getting my posing face on with the public all around but we found a cute little doorway on a slip road by Topshop and got into position. As you can see, I opted for the lean not-so-seductively against the wall pose in order to showcase the batwing sleeves of my new favourite jumper* from Nordic Poetry. Nordic Poetry is a brand that I did not know much about before but when offered the chance to choose an item from their range I was literally spoilt for choice. A range that encapsulates the heart of retro and vintage fashion with oh-so-cute dungaree's, the most a/w friendly range of jumpers in various patterns and bold shades, and even the odd kimono thrown in for good measure. Not only do they offer a great choice of clothing for women but their mens range is equally alluring. I recommend popping on over and taking a peek for yourself, trust me.

After a very long day, lot's of good grub, and a not so comfortable train journey home I'm ready to bury myself in my duvet and snooze to my hearts content. What do you think of my jumper? I love it!

P.S. If you want to see more pictures of the day follow me on instagram (ohlittlered) and please leave yours in the comments as I need more to follow!

I handled my charm with time and slight of hand

Palm Print Playsuit - Lashes of London*
I have a feeling this will be the last of my garden posing sessions for outfit posts for this year as the last of the fine weather surely draws ever closer. I took full advantage of the burst of sunshine London has welcomed over the past few days and so this playsuit, that I was so kindly allowed to choose from new online fashion site, Lashes of London, made its début.

I have been loving some of their items online, however, I must admit it is slightly pricey for someone of smaller means such as myself and so I would look to purchase a luxury treat instead from their site and stick to rummaging through charity shops and Primark for basic essentials.

I absolutely adore the navy blue teamed with the pastel palm print and the keyhole cut outs, featured in the front and back, which also make it a great night out option as well as for the finer days weather wise. I ordered a six which in most shops can come up WAY too small on me and I'm normally much more comfortable in an eight, however, I do think their sizes may come up a little bit bigger than usual. It was slightly too big for me which was a real shame but I'm working on altering it to be more fitted which is vital with the key hole cut outs, we don't want any indecent exposure!

Hope you've all had a good weekend, please do let me know if you'd prefer more beauty/lifestyle posts to come as well as I know I've been very fashion focused at the minute. Maybe it's the London Fashion Week fever!

I'm no teenage icon

collared blouse - urban outfitters (old)
mid wash denim shorts - miss selfridge
lace trim ankle socks (black) - topshop
millicent stud back boots (black) - topshop

For those of you that follow me on instagram (ohlittlered) you might have spotted me uploading quite a few sumptuous snaps of our last minute September BBQ at Jon's house this afternoon. The weather literally has been perfect for it and we've really loved just being able to make the most of our weekend together by slapping on a few chicken and lamb skewers onto the BBQ and filling up the cooler with Kopparberg Mixed Fruits Cider, lovely jubbly.

In all honesty it was even to hot today for these cut off denim shorts and this urban outfitters top but I couldn't bring myself to bare my milky white skin in a bikini top so I opted for popping in and out of the shade! Teamed up with my new topshop studded suede boots, which I have taken a strong fancy too and refuse to stop strutting up an down the patio like a loon, I find this is a great outfit to make a quick and easy transition to night out down the pub or cinema. Just add a leather jacket, opt for a darker red lip and some tights and voila! you're ready to go.

Hopefully the sunshine continues but I have heard rumours of heavy rain fall drawing in nearer the end of the weekend, boo! My boyfriend also told me to add that he thinks I look very confused in the second photo, as if I'm just staring and smiling but am not sure why. That's the most philosophical (probably, wrong word choice!) he's been in a while, he's such an oddball. I'm in fact just pulling off cliché fashion blogger poses, the standard leg cross, intense stare, look to the ground and smile at the grass like a loon, you know what I'm on about...

What have you been up to this weekend?

summer wine

grey marl open shoulder asymmetric tunic - topshop
grey speckle skater skirt (worn underneath) - topshop
spiked necklace - ebay
messenger bag - zara (post here)

This week has been pretty hectic for me having moved back to University early to try and get a head start on course work and such before then heading back to London to pop into to Motel Rocks Sample Sale part of Vogues Fashion Night Out - let me tell you the atmosphere was buzzing!

September is showering us with glorious last minute sunshine and so my pasty pale legs made an appearance today teamed up a very grey outfit to juxtapose the colourful backdrop of a bustling London Town. I really love this asymmetric tunic, I have got a bit of a crush on open shoulder tops recently so this fitted in perfectly teamed with my favourite spiked necklace and topshop's beguiled lipstick to add a bit of attitude to this laid back outfit.

Jon and I trodded along to Brent Cross for a spot of shopping - yes even more shopping! - as mission 'find a winter bobble hat' was a-go, look out for an upcoming post on my finds! We're planning on having the last BBQ of the year tomorrow to top off the weekend before resting up and planning my outfit for the Roger and Gallet Bloggers Evening on Monday - please let me know if you're popping along too :)

How are you spending your weekend?
