venom

top - topshop (old)
leggings (disco pants) - american apparell
shoes - topshop vectras (nude)

TGIF! I've had a pretty hectic week for an unemployed student with plenty visits to the bank, attending to my cv, and Jon & I are currently house-sitting for his sister whilst she's away on holiday after some creep was caught peeping into their house. I haven't really been in the mood for wearing anything particularly nice, preferring my joggers and a hoody most of the week as the weather has yet again been dismal, however, the sun did pop its hat on briefly today and so I dug out this old topshop sleeveless tee which I think will be great for when I go to Reading Festival next month!

My prize from look magazine also arrived so I've had lot's of fun playing around with all the make-up and have been writing up drafts of reviews on all the products as well as the bit's I got from elf which are being posted sporadically. And for those of you that don't know I'm also currently running a give-away, yes that's right my first ever give-away as a thanks to all my loyal readers which you can enter here.

As I'm also on a spending ban at the minute my usual weekend jaunts around the shopping park near by will have to go a miss and I guess I'll just have to endure hours of Jon playing fifa whilst I catch up on some reading which sadly has taken the back seat a bit of late. I am looking forward to this evening though as our friends Cara and Milind are coming over to just chill with a takeaway and we always end up having a laugh. Then tomorrow my friend Ellie is throwing a little gathering at her house so it'll be nice to get to see everyone!

What are your plans for this weekend?

you better shape up

grey knot front shirt - topshop (sale)
leggings (disco pants) - american apparel
chunky knit cardigan - primark
 cream studded vectras - topshop
necklace - topshop (sale)
nails - barry m peach melba and barry m pink silver glitter

Luckily I grabbed this grey knot front shirt in the topshop sale for a very student friendly £7, I think it's since sold out and could only find the same style shirts in white and rose pink for £12 but I'm tempted to buy another in white.

The weather has yet again turned a miserable rain yet muggy mess and so my chunky knit cardigans and jumpers have temporarily been revived, this black cardigan being my all time favourite. I'm currently seething with jealousy as my boyfriend suns himself in sunny spain. The other night he saw Calvin Harris and next week they're seeing Example whilst I sit in my pyjamas watching disney movies, oh well tonight is girls night and I'm armed with a bottle of wine.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

skulls and lycra

loose knit jumper - asos
leggings (disco pants) - american apparel
flatforms - h&m

After yesterday's bout of glorious sunshine I did get my hopes up that the weather may be turning for the better once again, foolish me. It rained. No, it poured.
Luckily I live in jumpers and the autumn and winter months are preferable to me over spring and summer as I love bit snug knitted jumpers and layering. I found this loose knit jumper on asos and found it perfect for the on/off weather we are having as it covers you are yet it light and cool so can be worn on sunnier days. The henna skull design is what caught my eye and has received many compliments whilst wearing it in my local nando's for an evening dinner with the girls. Second time this week, seriously cannot get off enough chicken in my diet, I'm obsessed.

Although I have what many have called a 'blessed' amount of time off for Summer before I head back to Uni I am getting pretty bored of it already. Lacking structure and anything of actual importance to do has lead me to occupy a lifestyle of a slob. I should actually be planning my dissertation, I know, eek! Scary times, it's so hard to believe I'll be finished my degree this time next year, I don't want it to be over - I can't face the real world just yet, leave me be with my super noodles and nocturnal body clock, thank you.
