We might be braving the strong winter winds, the numb fingertips that cry out for woolen mittens, and our coats and knitted jumpers may be our best friends for the next few months but in the world of fashion we are always looking ahead to next season, and the hope of more than a weeks worth of sunshine to head out with bare legs once more.
Yesterday, I popped along to the Next SS2013 Press Day in the heart of London Town with the gorgeous Lauren Number Two, a.k.a Laurenella. I got a bit snap happy so this post might be a bit photo heavy but I just wanted to give you a preview of what is going to be adorning the rails at Next this coming spring. We had a wonderful day of it and I am pleased to say that the mouth watering canapes have made me somewhat of a Sushi convert. Couldn't help but go back for seconds, well thirds actually...
Within the four walls of the One Marylebone, illuminated by spotlights and elegant waves of purple, were rail upon rail which were home to an eclectic mix of graphic print trousers, structured dresses in soft hues of cream, and crochet textures, all ready to make an impact on your spring/summer wardrobe. Electric blues, neons, and delicate mushroom and peach shades are set to be staple colours, so whether you're a fan of earthy tones, edgy aztec prints, or dark florals, there is something for you.
Next Homeware did not fail to disappoint with a rustic collection that emulates both Scandinavian simplicity, and Old English retreats. Different collections boasted a juxtaposition of opulence and simple homeliness. Burnt Oranges, crochet knits, and innovative lighting dominated and I left fueled with creative ideas to jazz up my home. The Next Event did the brand justice from the beautiful arrangement of the space at Marylebone One to the hardworking waiters serving up delicious cocktails and tasty treats. Thank you, Next.
What do you think of the Next SS2013 Collection? Will you be braving bold prints and daring neons?
