The Sunday Post: Dungaree's and Dissertation's

Sheer White Blouse - H&M
Denim Dungaree's - Topshop
Wishbone Above Knuckle Ring - The Bohemian Collective*
Rose Gold Watch - Michael Kors*

I'd just like to start this post with a massive HELL YEAH, my dissertation is done and dusted. I can't even express in words how happy, relieved, and proud this makes me all at one time. In true Lauren style I left a big chunk of it to be done at the last minute, I know I work better under pressure but this was something else. I couldn't even cry I was that stressed but I got it done and I'm really happy with it, fingers crossed it goes down well. I went on a bit of a Boot's haul as a treat after I'd handed it in so expect a post dissertation haul to come soon.

This weekend consisted of Iron Man 3 and therefore lot's of drooling over Robert Downing Jnr. Hnnnng. I absolutely love marvel comic's and films but although I really enjoyed the film, it wasn't as good as I had expected. The rest of the weekend was filled with dancing to 90's one hit wonders, who remembers Marvin and Tamara? G to the R Double O V E, Get on my Groove Machine! Me and my friends are quite obviously hell raisers on our Saturday nights...

This Week I've Been Listening to:
  • I've had 'Chocolate' by The 1975 stuck in my head all week. Get out already.
  • Might have also performed my own production of 'Hairspray' in my room this morning, you can't stop the beat...
I've Been Watching:
  • Re-runs of 'Angel' - not as good as Buffy but I'm still addicted to when vampires were actually cool and not soppy, sparkling creatures.
I've Been Reading:
  • I've just started reading the second book in the Hunger Games Trilogy, 'Catching Fire'. It's nice to be able to actually read books simply for me again instead of annotating every last inch of a novel until I hate it.
  • The beaut is back. If you haven't read Lily Bee's blog then you're missing out. A great girl and beyond stunning, I'm glad to see Helen posting more regularly again!
  • The Spring Trilogy Post's over on Essie Button are well worth a look. I love Estee's sense of humour and watching her video's, as well as reading her posts, never fail to put a smile on my face.
Do have any good reads to recommend, I'm looking for more books to add to my summer reading list!

I really want those dungarees. they have been in my basket for a while now!

please check out my blog if you have the time,

  2. woo I love Hunger Games !!! and I love your outfit

  3. I know the feeling, I did the same thing before I just couldn't resist any longer! xx

  4. I love the dungarees, I've just started reading Daughter of smoke and bone and so far I'm loving it :) x

  5. Massive yay :) and thank you, Lily! You're such a sweetie :) x

  6. Thank you :) and yeah I know what you mean ;) although I'm on the last series at the moment so he's gotten a little chubby and old! x

  7. I love your dungarees - I think that's the one I was looking at on the Topshop website a couple of weeks ago (which I've decided will be mine by the time Summer's over!)

The Hunger Games trilogy is amazing - I read all 3 last Summer! I'm reading the Game of Thrones series at the moment but some other good series I've read over previous Summers are The Black Magician Trilogy (by Trudi Canavan) and the Pellinor series (by Alison Croggon) if you haven't already read them :)

  8. Thank you, and you should ;)

I'm really getting into it too, and thanks for the recommendations I'll have to take a note of them. I really want to start watching Game of Thrones too! x

  9. Well done on finishing your dissertation!! I'm going into my third year next year, so I still have that to look forward to haha :( You look really nice, I love your outfit, I wasn't sure about dungarees at first but they're really growing on me now, I like how you've styled yours :)

    Eleanor x

  10. Thank you love, I'm so glad it's over! Good luck with your third year! Aw, thanks, I prefer my dungaree's in a dress form, not sure if I can pull off the shorts or full trouser look! x

  11. Ironic that you study english yet you've put dungaree's and dissertation's, neither of which need that apostrophe before the s!! Let's hope you didn't make that mistake in your dissertation...

  12. Thank you lovely :) x

  13. We can't always be perfect, can we? :)

  14. Well no, but if you study English presumably you'd know how to use apostrophes? I don't study English but it was hammered into me at high school, let alone at university level!

  15. I study English Literature, not language, and I can't always be bothered to be on top academic form when it comes to my blog as it is a hobby of mine, not an essay. But thank you for your concern :)

Good to hear that you already finished your dissertation paper, Lauren! And as the tedious task of writing your dissertation is over, it is really a good idea to celebrate with none other than Robert Downey Jr.! Anyway, what happened to your dissertation defense? Did you already successfully defend it?

hello lovelies! I read and try to reply to each and every comment and they really do make my day :)
