Weekly Peek #1

001: Helloooo! I thought I'd start up a new weekly feature named 'Weekly Peek' which is basically highly similar to old Sunday Session catch up posts but without the restriction of only posting that sort of post on a Sunday. I was terrible at keeping up with my Sunday Session posts namely because Sunday is a day of relaxation and crappy weekend tv for me. I do hope to regulate this feature, an peek into my life that week, more so on the weekend as that's the time I get all my blog reading and vlog watching done too but do bare with me as sometimes I'm so exhausted that I just curl up in my duvet with Dancing on Ice and a cuppa tea.

002: 2013 has set off in a great direction as I landed my dream internship with Gleam Digital this week which I'm absolutely buzzing about. Gleam help to manage the Pixiwoo sisters, the ever-so-gorgeous Tanya Burr, and one of my favourite bloggers, Zoella. I was realllllyyy nervous when it came to the interview at their swanky offices. I had primped and pampered the night before but my skin just wasn't co-operating and is going through a serious dry patchy phase right now, ugh! Despite that the interview wasn't as scary as I had thought, I was surprised to see another favourite blogger of mine, Katie, as one of my interviewers alongside the really lovely Lucy. Both of them made me feel extremely comfortable and seem really genuinely lovely and down to earth girls as well as tempting me more with the perks of the job which has made me even more excited to get stuck in there this Summer. Social media is taking over and I can't wait to be part of that side of things and especially with such a lovely team such as Team Gleam.

003: My childhood friend, Louise, has jetted over from down under to spend some time in London with me whilst travelling around Europe. I haven't seen her in years but we got chatting like it was yesterday which was a lovely ending to my final week back home before heading back to Uni.

004: Last night Jon took me to see Wicked at Victoria Apollo which was outstanding. Seriously, insanely good. I'm not even embarrassed to admit my eyes did prickle slightly, okay A LOT, after the end note of defying gravity. The singing was insane. Words. Cannot. Describe.
How has your week been?

Sunday Session #8

Zinco's Feast//Lush Bathtimes are always much more fun//Delilah Dust//Threaded Eyebrows//Cosy   Bedroom//Burger & Lobster//Next Goodies//Wonderland Collection - eek!//Switching to home cooked meals//A Dead Famous Halloween
I'm well aware 'Sunday Session' posts have been lacking recently, I wasn't sure whether people still wanted to see generic instagram posts or not? But, I quite like nosing at what my favourite bloggers have been up to and so I thought now was the time for a revival.
Lazing around in slipper socks, mugs of hot chocolate, bouts of flu that just would not go away, and settling back in, or as I see it, stressing to the max that it's my final year at uni, has taken up my October. I cannot believe it's November already though, like seriously? Where has this year gone! Anyone else slightly scared about how quickly time seems to be passing by? I know I am.

I've got quite a few events cropping up which I'm looking forward to and it's been lovely finally getting to meet up, and have a cheeky cocktail or two(HUGE understatement!), with my blogging friends. I met up with the stunning Lauren Number Two ;) also known as Laurenella - you should all go check her blog out, it's one of my favourites! We had such a fun time at the Next Press Day and it was really nice to see the person behind the blog as it were. We 'ooh-ed' and 'ahh-ed' over the baby and toddler clothing range whilst everyone else sauntered around elegantly, aha!

How's your November going? Is anyone's boyfriends or friends taking part in Movember? I tried convincing Jon but he said the only sort of moustache he's able to grow is a thin creepy one, not exactly a great look...

I've been useless keeping up to date with my Sunday Session posts recently as Jon FINALLY got some time off work so we've been spending a lot of it together and with our friends before he jetted off on his lads holiday to Magalluf this morning. He's gone for nearly two weeks and with the current climate in my household being somewhat tense I can feel it being a long old twelve days. But nonetheless I hope him and the boys have an amazing time and there is a very distinct pang of jealousy as I reminisce about my girls holiday to Zante a couple years back.

I'll be getting a lot of blogging done in his absence as well as regular swimming sessions with my fellow Magalluf widow, Ellie, which I'm looking forward to as my body yearns for some much needed exercise!

I'm also glad to report that I got a 2.1 in my second year uni results which I'm super ecstatic about as I had been the worlds worst student this past year and it makes those gruelling last minute revision sessions worthwhile. Hope you all got the results you wanted especially those of you that are in your final year!!

This week I headed off to Southgate in North London to stay with my housemate before she heads off for an enviable summer in China travelling! We had such an amazing time heading off to Tiger Tiger! and then to Rumba where we bumped into BGT Winner George Sampson and had a bit of a dance - my dancing skills are not to be desired I can assure you! It was lovely spending some quality time with my housemates before we part ways for Summer and the rest of the week was spent gorging myself on home made cakes and bottles of wine in the garden with my friends, perfecto!

This is a bit of a compilation of the past two weeks which has been filled with laughter, paddling pool frolicks and making the most of the sunshine we were blessed with for only a short period of time. My AA Disco Pants finally felt like they fit so I've been parading around in them whenever I have the chance and therefore I have been sung at "you better shape up, because I need a man" countless times for their resemblance to Grease. I'm so glad to finally put exams behind me and enjoy my four months of freedom! Hooray!

sunday session #5

Chinese Takeaway/Top Shop Vectra's arrived!/Out with my girls/double rainbow/20th Cocktails!/Free goodies from Bourjois

This week has consisted of a highly unhealthy diet, turning twenty and spending my last week back at home before facing the dreaded upcoming month of uni exams and no social life. I must admit turning twenty is pretty scary as the realities of the real world are knocking on my door and I'm still hesitant to open. But some good news is that Jon and I are back together and hopefully my not so great start to the year will pick up from here, fingers crossed.

sunday session #4

Kopparberg Pear, The Gorgeous Lily, Whipsnade Zoo, Bingo!, Friday Night with the Girls, Lush Bath Bombs

Okay, I admit I've taken to splurging out a bit too much moo-la on things I don't really need this week but I haven't had the best of times recently and thought what the heck? I'm going to treat myself! I've caught up with a lot of people this week and spent time making time for the little things that can spread a cheesy grin on your face like no other.

Gala Bingo host free nights on Thursdays so I herded up the girls to sign up and give it a go and I must admit I was pretty excited about getting my hands on one of those dabber pens! Simple things! It was such a laugh and the old biddies take it a lot more seriously than is necessary but it was nice to something different and without having spend any money, but boy do they reel off those numbers quickly!

I've been rushed off my feet with drinks in our local, organising Reading Festival bits and bobs, Kopparberg Mixed Fruits being top of the list, as well as heading off to Whipsnade Zoo yesterday with everyone. It was a bit odd at first because it was all couples and then Jon and I but we soon got over that and were coo-ing over the baby elephants! Talking of babies I met up with my friend Becky during the week and got to meet her gorgeous daughter Lily who happens to be the most adorable thing ever and got me all broody!

When I finally got a chance to relax this week I treated myself to a Lush filled bath as my bath bomb collection has been sitting there patiently as I'm not able to use it at uni as we only have a shower, nothing beat a good hot soak in the tub! Oh, and Easter eggs to munch on after..

How was your Easter weekend?

sunday session #3

Sunday has swung around quickly yet again and another week down until the dreaded university exams begin! My plan of action for this week was to get quite a fair bit of revision done but that somewhat failed so this mission has been passed on to next week, it will happen...I hope.

1. I've missed my girls a lot whilst I've been a uni and it was really nice for us all to be home around the same  time to catch up and go on a girls only night out...however that was slightly interrupted by the boys being in a club just down the road and getting a bit rowdy. I managed to get my hands on the teal playsuit, that I mentioned in my last weekend wishlist, that I've been lusting after as it was reduced to £20 in the sale! And as always, I ended the night with some greasy chip shop grub, splendid.

2. I've moved into my dads house for the week as tensions are running a little high with my mum as we're both stressed about upcoming exams, my mum is at university too you see. It's a much calmer environment, apart from when spurs are playing and my dad transforms into the biggest lad going screaming at the tv! Recently two furry new editions have been added to house called Rocky and Lyla and they're the cutest cats I've ever seen and make a very good hot water bottle...

3.Okay, so duck isn't exactly the healthiest of foods but I've been trying to cut down on junk food, minus the  drunken dash to the chippy. I've been making salads most days and swapping bacon for sardines. It's not to lose weight or anything like that but I just think I should improve my standard of food.

4. Recently my heads been all over the place with my ex giving me many mixed signals and re-enacting jekyl and hyde, not good. So really old friends have been my saving grace the past week, calling me at any hour to take my mind off things and cheer me up. One of them is a guy going through a VERY similar situation and it's always nice to know you're not the only one going through things and that you're not going stir crazy! And yes, I do look like a boy in a dress...

Hope you have a lovely week ahead as always, and may the weather please make up it's mind, sunshine or snow?!
